Pour-Off and Monolith, Grand Gulch, Utah
Ha! Sneaked in another Utah scenic. This is my favorite of the straight-up landscape photos from the trip. “Magic hour” lighting makes these kinds of scenes look amazing, but there are so many such photos these days that I’m glad this is from mid-afternoon. This is closer to what these places usually look like, at least under thin cloud. I see this image as being more about form than color, though I think the color is important enough that I didn’t want to use black-and-white.
