Eucalyptus on Old Slab

This linoleum and the concrete slab beneath are all that remain of a school administration building in a small valley on the Palos Verdes peninsula, near Los Angeles. There were several such one-story buildings, shaded by big eucalyptus trees. Now all the buildings are gone. The trees remain, old and shaggy.

    • Yeah. The detail really evokes the whole, doesn’t it? Probably not for someone who hasn’t been there, though.
