Behind the Bug Net
Just back from a week in far northeast Washington state with the Washington Trails Association. We camped in Gypsy Meadows and helped renovate the trail down to the Salmo River. Here my wife Dorothy (in the headnet) and our crew chief Barbara work on dinner. In the Franz-Amador personal bug scale, I’d rate the bugs in camp at mildly annoying, with those on the trail tending toward moderately annoying at times. This bug tent has obviously seen a lot of use and did little to actually keep the bugs out. It was mostly there in case of rain, of which there wasn’t any.
