Still Life with Computer Printer and Desk Lamp

20130804-IMG_7524-enfuse-hdr

I’ve been slowly working my way through Janson’s History of Art (just finished the Rococo), and this little scene caught my eye as being like a still life, especially with the bold lighting. (That’s my printer under an old curtain used as a dust cloth.) This is three exposures combined using LR/Enfuse, which is conceptually similar to HDR processing but doesn’t give that surreal “HDR look”. I’m trying for a painterly effect while remaining true to the fact that this is a photograph (so no cheesy simulated paint effects).
