Grand Old Stumps

A little research shows that the Lake Keechelus dam was built in 1917, making these stumps nearly one hundred years old. Given their size, the trees must have been much older than that when they were cut. I’d say they’re looking darn good for their age.

(The scar above the far shore is Interstate 90, currently being widened.)

    • Based on their shape (and longevity) I’d say they are.
